by Derek Laing Visit Date:February 24, 2012 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "My second stay at this Hotel in 5 years. A very pleasant stay and my room was upgraded which was lovely. Great views from the pool of the city. If you want somewhere to go outside, then why not take a 100bht tuk tuk to the riverside which is not far.The Lavender spa is really good . You can eat in the revolving reastaurant at the top floor. Ive done that so i went to the restaurant on floor 10 which was good value." | nice easy and secure., February 28, 2012

by Patrick Caunt Visit Date:January 1, 2011 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We were very pleasantly suprised by the Grand China Princess. It was excellent value for money, clean, well equipped rooms and in a good central location. We loved the hustle and bustle of Chinatown and the fabulous views from the rooms and from the roof garden. Breakfasts were excellent, especially the pancakes and waffles and the staff were all charming. Will definitely stay there again next time we go to Bangkok." | For 2nd payment, website cannot be accessed, got to pay thru phone, December 29, 2010

by Mr.John J Nicholson Visit Date:March 21, 2010 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "Very good value for money. Big room with great views and excellent service. Location was not as good as hoped for as a long way from Railway Station and MRT. Suggest using River ferry (about 400 meters) for access to other parts of Bangkok. Also beware very few Restaurants in China Town (mostly street stalls) but Hotel has many places to eat. Close to good markets. Not sure if would stay again due to location [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Online booking efficient and very helpful. I would use them again., December 7, 2009
by Mrs Jane Baker Visit Date:December 4, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "This hotel is in China Town so you re right in the middle of it all as soon as you walk out the door. It s only a 5 min walk to the river ferry but it isn t so convenient to the sky train and metro. The hotel itself is big and a bit out dated but clean and friendly. The pool on the 23rd floor goes right to the edge with only a small fence to stop you falling off. We were too nervous to take our 4 year old son there for too long so we didn t get to make the most of it. The revolving restaurant was pretty good on level 25. It too was dated but the service was excellent and the Japanese food lovely, the Thai menu was limited. They also offered to make a hamburger for my son that was not on the menu. The chairs are comfy so he easily fell asleep meaning that my husband and I could stay on a bit longer. The only negative was that they asked us to wait before we checked out so they could check our room before we left. I guess I understand that it would be easier for them and it only took a couple of minutes but it didn’t feel very nice. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Great as always, December 1, 2009
by Suzanne Bonham Visit Date:November 18, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "We pisked this hotel becuase of the location near all of the major attractions, however in hind-sight I would not book this hotel again. The location was handy for getting to the river or to the Grand Palace, however you still had to get taxis to these locations. If you enjoy going out to restaurants for meals or like to go out for a few drinks on a night then China Town is not for you - there are very few formal restaurants, the area is mainly made up of street vendors, and there are no bars - only the one in our hotel. The bedrooms could do with updating - the wallpaper in our room was peeling off. The bed was extremely hard and after sleeping in it for 3 days I felt like I was bruised all over my body. The pool and sunbathing area was nice, however much smaller than it appeared on the hotels website - there are only 8 sunbeds. The breakfast buffet was good - there was a good selection and there was a fresh egg station where you could get eggs done any way you like and waffles. If I was offering advice to a friend who was going to Bangkok I would say do not stay in ChinaTown, I would recomend that they stay in one of the more modern hotels in the Sukhumvit Road area, as there is lots of bars and restaurants and shoppping in these areas and they are well served by the skytrain - to get to the river and then you can get boats to the Grand Palace etc, also taxis are so cheap you can get those to the major siteseeing attarctions. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | good service, May 18, 2009 by Charles Snedeker Visit Date:April 24, 2009 "good hotelgood service" | Good and effective service - no problems at all., April 8, 2009 by Karapetyants Visit Date:April 1, 2009 "Good location, magnificent view from the room. However hotel looks a little bit worn out; bathroom facilities are very primitive. Not reliable Internet service in the room (for extra charge). And the worst - terrible and amasingly unfriendly service.Overall - would not recommend. For this money can find better one in Bangkok." | Hotels & Resorts RecommendDestination:Bangkok Location:Silom Road, Soi Saladaeng Address:75/1 Saladaeng Road, Silom, City:Bangrak, Bangkok 10500 Start Rate:1,478 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 09:55:10 GMT) Destination:Phuket Location:Karon Beach Address:204 Karon Road, Muang, City:Phuket 83100 Start Rate:1,801 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 10:59:27 GMT) Destination:Bangkok Location:Charoenkrung Road, Soi 50 Address:1552/2 Soi 50, Charoenkrung Rd., City:Bangrak, Bangkok 10500 Start Rate:2,290 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 09:55:10 GMT) Destination:Koh Samui Location:Bophut Beach Address:175/7 Moo 1, Bophut Beach City:Koh Samui, Suratthani 84320 Start Rate:340 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 10:47:36 GMT) Destination:Koh Samui Location:Lamai Beach Address:126/69 Moo.3 T.Maret City:Koh Samui, Suratthani 84310 Start Rate:535 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 10:47:36 GMT) Destination:Krabi Location:Ao Nang Beach Address:232 Moo 2, Tambon Ao Nang City:Krabi 81000 Start Rate:1,699 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 10:54:05 GMT) Destination:Krabi Location:Ao Nang, Nopparattara Address:19 Moo 3, Ao Nang City:Muang, Krabi 81000 Start Rate:850 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 10:54:05 GMT) Destination:Phuket Location:Patong Beach Address:10/4 Sawatdirak Road, Patong, City:Kathu, Phuket 83150 Start Rate:1,317 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 10:59:27 GMT) Destination:Koh Samui Location:Bophut Beach Address:101/3 Bophut Bay, Koh Samui City:Suratthani 84320 Start Rate:2,950 THB (Rate as of May 24 2012 10:47:36 GMT) Destination:Pattaya Location:Pattaya North, Beach Rd.
