Search Hotels & Resorts in Thailand Guest reviews for New Empire Hotel ok, March 20, 2009 by Karen Tan Visit Date:March 8, 2009 "Hotel very old. Room Carpet smelled and wall paper peeling off. Saw something black moving on the floorroom, could be a small rat or big lizard. Will not consider staying there again" | Booking was easy. Tough to make these decisions on line as photos can be outdated., July 10, 2008 by Denise Louise Shepard Visit Date:June 24, 2008 "New Empire Hotel is not so new. We reserved two rooms. Had to move from one room as there was urine leaking through bathroom ceiling from toilet above. Moved across the hall without hesitation. Rooms smelled of stale smoke and wallpaper was peeling off stained walls. That said...staff was always pleasant and very helpful in assisting us with taxi fares and directions!" | Very good and efficient, March 20, 2008 by Wallace A Leslie Visit Date:March 12, 2008 "Arrived and found it was not what we were expecting so left for another hotel. " | December 25, 2007 by jonathan tirado rodriguez Visit Date:December 19, 2007 "Good service and good location near the station.A little bit old, the walls are not very clean and tghe views friom the restaurant are horrible, the breakfast is ok.Cheap [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Booking with Sawade.com is very smooth and so far no problem. By the time I checked in the late afternoon, the hotel is already well informed. Great service. However the picture of the hotel at the booking pages is a bit exaggerating., August 28, 2007 by MR.LEE TE HUA Visit Date:August 24, 2007 "The hotel is located in China Town, very easy access to all the restaurants there. The hotel has Mandarin speaking staff and they are very helpful to guest and give correct and value information. The room is clean but the carpet is little old, the wall has paint seen peeling off and there is hole on the cupboard. Hot shower is not working, for a single traveling person s stay, overall comment is still acceptable for the rate they charge. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | TOP! Dankeschoen!, February 12, 2007 by Juergen Brecht Visit Date:February 7, 2007 "Good location in Chinatown near Wat Traimit and the China Gate. A lot of good restaurants nearby. Hotel very old and smelly. Carpets in the rooms disgusting!Staff friendly, but avoid the Hotel-laundry(paid 100Bath for 3 garments, which returned unwashed). Poor service in the Hotel-Coffee-Shop! I would recommend to stay here no longer than 2 nights!Much better service in the Chinatown Hotel 50 meters away with a very good restaurant and Internet. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" | Easy., February 27, 2007 by Leah Bokenkamp Visit Date:February 2, 2007 "Older and run down. The paint was peeling and there were water stains on the bathroom ceiling. Included breakfast was decent and the staff was friendly. Easy walk to the train station." | Hey these guys rock we originally booked another hotel which ended up being fully booked and they suggested this one and we couldn t be happier., January 9, 2007 by Cameron McKenzie Visit Date:December 20, 2006 "If you are looking for a nice 2 star hotel close to the china-town markets and a short walk (5 min) to Hua Lamphong MRT Station you cannot go past the New Empire. A few of the previous comments left here were not so flattering but you can t expect to much for the price. We come to BKK to explore, be out and about not to sit in a hotel all day, all We need is a comfortable bed to sleep in. The front rooms of the hotel can be a bit noisey so if you are bothered by this request a room on the back side of the hotel or buy a set of ear plugs from Watsons pharmacy for 69BHT. The Coffee shop included breakfast is fairly basic but there are plenty of excellent hawker stalls and coffee shops along Yaowarat Rd. My partner and i enjoyed our stay and will revisit this hotel in the future." | Hotels & Resorts RecommendDestination:Phuket Location:Kata Beach Address:60 Kata Road, Muang, City:Phuket 83100 Start Rate:1,232 THB (Rate as of May 25 2012 11:00:10 GMT) Destination:Koh Phi Phi Location:Phi Phi Island, Laem Tong Address:45/9 Moo 8, Laemtong Beach, City:Phi Phi Island, Ao Nang, Krabi 81000 Start Rate:1,903 THB (Rate as of May 25 2012 10:54:30 GMT) Destination:Chiang Mai Location:City, Rat-U-Tit Road Address:36 Ratuthit Road, Chiangmai City City:Chiangmai 50000 Start Rate:3,398 THB (Rate as of May 25 2012 09:43:16 GMT) Destination:Koh Samui Location:Maenam Beach Address:135 Moo 4, T.
